The Guernsey Conservation Volunteers (GCV), founded in 1996, provides weekly
opportunities for people to help Guernsey's wonderful natural environment and
connect with nature. Every Wednesday morning and every other Saturday morning
GCV meets at different beautiful locations around Guernsey to do different activities
including raking hay, helping young trees, working in the orchid fields and removing
invasive plants like Sour Fig. GCV work parties give people the chance to support
nature and help it thrive. But GCV doesn't just support nature - our active outdoor
work parties give people the opportunity to learn about nature and care for it which is
great for your own health and wellbeing! GCV can organise work parties for corporate
groups, community groups and school/youth groups so more people can help nature
and learn about our wonderful natural environment. More people connecting with
nature is great for us and great for our beautiful island!
